Liberated Realm

This is the Liberated Realm - my GNU Guix configurations that I use on my machines.

It features system.scm (operating-system), home.scm (home-environment) and several internal-use packages defined.

Notes on simple vs. complicated

My setup might appear simple in some ways and complicated in other. I've decided not to customize Guix's channels by modifying essential-services but to have them defined in .config/guix/channels.scm - this setup is less "reproducible", but for me it's more approachable.

I also don't reference my home-environment in my operating-system declaration - this requires two entire commands to configure the system (guix home reconfigure in addition to guix system reconfigure), a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

Both of these things are done to prefer modifying and reconfiguring the home-environment more often than operating-system - I rarely change system configuration, most of my configuration work is done inside home. Reconfiguring the home environment is also faster than building the entire operating system derivation every time I fix a typo in my Emacs config.
